Presently the high price of steel is reflected by several factors. Prices of ore, coal and scrap are compared to December higher by 3000 CZK / ton. Also material consumption is high. ArcelorMittal Ostrava representative stated that the demand is even higher than they are able to fulfill. Further Třinecké železárny produce one hundred percent. Production capacities of metallurgic companies are for the first half-year partly run out. These are the main causes of steep rise of prices. View on third quarter of the year is difficult to estimate.
