Since carbon steel is easily susceptible to corrosion, the steel sheets and strips are protected by continuous hot-dipping in zinc (Z), a zinc-iron alloy (ZF), zinc-aluminum alloy (ZA), aluminum-zinc alloy (AZ), and an aluminum-silicon alloy (AS)

The steel strips are supplied according to EN 10346 and dimensional tolerances according to EN 10143 in the following grades:

Deep-drawing steel

  • DX51D for bending and profiling
  • DX52D for drawing
  • DX53D for deep drawing
  • DX54D for special deep drawing
  • DX55D for special deep drawing
  • DX56D for extreme deep drawing
  • DX57D for super deep drawing

Structural steel – S220GD - S550GD

are classified by increasing minimum yield strength Rp0.2

Micro-alloyed steel with higher yield strength for cold forming - HX160 - HX500

are classified by increasing the minimum yield strength Rp0.2
